£6.40 per hour (30 hours) reviewed every 3 months

WHAT are the HOURS?

Monday to Friday, working flexibly between 8am – 6.30pm (1  Tuesday evening until 8pm on a rota basis

What Qualification will I GAIN?

Business Admin Level 3

How LONG will it TAKE me?

18 months

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

  • WORK Full Time, PAID Full Time
  • 1-2-1 Monthly Sessions (via Teams) with your dedicated Tutor (NO college!) to study KEY MODULES:

o   The Organisation & Policies

o   Legislation & Regulation

o   Role Fundamentals

o   Stakeholders

o   Business Fundamentals & Processes

  • 6 hours a week Apprenticeship Study Time, to focus on:

o   Assignments, training & development activities

o   Hours are agreed with your manager, either split across the week, or on a set day

  • Regular PROGRESS Reviews with your Tutor & Manager – you will ALWAYS know how you are doing
  • Final Assessment(s) inc. multiple choice tests, projects & presentations –  with full support from CT Skills!

WHAT’S in it for ME?

DAY to DAY, you will….

  • Provide an effective and efficient reception service to patients and visitors
  • Deal with general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments
  • Contact patients to arrange medication reviews, minor operations and chronic disease reviews
  • Using your own judgment and communication skills ensure that patients with no prior appointment but who need urgent consultation are seen in a logical and non-disruptive manner
  • Receive and make telephone calls, divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail
  • Action repeat prescription requests and ensure that they are sent electronically via EPS within 48 hours
  • Advise patients of relevant charges for private services, accept payment and issue receipts
  • Enter patient information on to the computer as required
  • File and retrieve paperwork, inputting data onto Electronic Patient Record
  • Electronically file hospital letters
  • Scan letters and relevant correspondence into patient’s notes, summarising patient’s notes when requested
  • Carrying out searches, audits and recalls as required by the clinical team and managers

Apprenticeships are very demanding; you’re working towards a qualification whilst working full time! You’ll need to be committed and motivated as there is lots of self-guided work involved. PLUS, you need GOOD …

  • GCSE or equivalent English and Maths grade 4/C or above
  •  UK Residency (MUST have lived in the UK for 3 years+)

What AFTER the Apprenticeship?
